Preteens

Preteens (5th Grade-6th Grade) are at a unique stage of vulnerability as they endeavor to solidify their own world view in such deceptive times. New Hope desires to foster and transform these “in flux” views of today’s Preteens into Biblical Worldviews! By placing the Preteens in a distinct ministry set apart and designed just for them, they can continue to discover Christ, develop in Christ, and begin to deploy Christ in their world.

Sunday Activities

“The Verge” Hope Group (Bible Study)

Devoted preteens combined with dedicated adults equal the development of learning and living out God’s Truth in the lives of many. The Verge Preteen Hope Groups will guide preteens to discover what the Bible says, demonstrate their understanding of what they learn, be discipled in their relationships with Christ and reach out to a world in need of a Savior.

Breakout

Breakout is a two-pronged approach implementing elements of discipleship training and mission opportunities. Breakout will concentrate on knowing who Christ is, how to grow in a meaningful relationship with Him, how to serve Him, how to share Christ with others and ultimately be on mission in a world desperate for His love and truth. The aim is for preteens to Breakout and move toward spiritual maturity. All Preteens meet in FLC 209 at 5:00 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semesters.
