Pray
Too often our culture confuses prayer as submitting a request list to God. When you pray, you are actually beginning a conversation with God. Like any conversation, there are two sides. We pray because it not only allows us a time to speak our thanks, concerns, hurts, confessions, praises, and requests to God, but it also allows us a time to hear and learn from Him (if we truly set aside time to listen). Prayer changes us, because by talking through things with God, we begin to recognize and acknowledge the truth of who we are and who He is.
Praying for Others
Sometimes we pray on behalf of others, taking to God our concern for them, and asking for His power and intervention in their life or circumstances if it aligns with His will. Here at New Hope, we believe sincerely in the Bible’s claim that there is great power in prayer, and we set aside time every Wednesday to lift up specific prayer requests on behalf of others.
Need Prayer?
If you would like to submit a specific prayer request for our Prayer Team Ministry to pray over this week, please visit our online Prayer Room (coming soon). When submitting your request, please mark if the request is confidential (for the Prayer Team only), or if it can remain in the online Prayer Room for others to publically see and pray for.
You are also welcome to browse around the prayer room and lift up others in prayer! It makes a difference knowing others are praying for you!
